A Labor of Love

Every nursing moment should be cherished.

As a wife and a mother of three wonderful children, breastfeeding has been one of the most joyous experiences of my life. I’ve loved every moment of nursing my babies...except for the times when I had to breastfeed in public. I longed for the beauty and intimacy of those precious moments, but I struggled to find the closeness I craved given that traditional nursing covers and blankets did not work. I knew there had to be a way to make it feel more natural and tender, like the beautiful bond that nursing creates.

Determined to find a solution, I began designing an arm worn nursing cover that was open and allowed for an unobstructed view of my little one. When my second baby came along with a tongue tie, I realized even more how important it was to see my baby clearly while nursing—to look into his eyes, understand his needs, and guide him to latch properly. The blankets created barriers, both physically and emotionally.

While I set out to just make a cover, it evolved into something much more meaningful. After many prototypes, the result was a cover that not only provided coverage, and allowed me full sight of my baby, but it also brought my baby even closer during nursing sessions that increased the connection with my baby. I had no formal experience in product development, but I had a deep love for breastfeeding and an overwhelming desire to create something beautiful and functional. Snugghug was designed with every detail in mind, from those quiet moments of gazing into my baby's eyes, to the embrace that surrounds them with comfort.

For me, Snugghug is more than just a nursing cover. It’s an extension of those intimate moments, a gentle hug that gives you privacy while still allowing you to hold your baby close, to see every smile and every tender gaze. I use it all the time, not just when we’re out - but at home too, because of the way it holds my little one in a soft, comforting cocoon. Now, I’m beyond excited to share Snugghug with other mothers, hoping it brings you the same sense of beauty, closeness, and connection that it’s brought me during these precious moments.

The Arm-Worm Nursing Cover

Designed for visibility & connection for breastfeeding anywhere.

Snugghug™ is the first arm-worn nursing cover designed for connection and visibility while breastfeeding.

Unlike traditional nursing covers that hang from the neck and drape fabric over the baby, Snugghug is worn on the mothers' arm to create a soft canopy of coverage while keeping the baby fully visible while feeding.

The simple design change allows mothers to maintain eye contact with their baby, clearly see feeding cues, and stay present during nursing moments at home or in public.

Because the baby's face remains visible and uncovered, the design allows open air around the baby, helping support natural breathability and comfortable temperature regulation during feeding.

The cover forms a gentle nursing nook in the crook of the arm, which can help reduce distractions and create a peaceful environment for both the mother and baby.

Made locally in small batches to support women and crafted in the USA. Snugghug is designed to make everywhere the perfect place to nurse while preserving connection with your baby.

A New Approach to Nursing Coverage

Coverage that preserves connection and visibility.

Traditional nursing covers are typically worn around the neck and drape fabric over the baby. While they provide coverage for the mother, thy can create challenges during nursing. Because the fabric hangs, it can be difficult to clearly see the baby's face, monitor the latch, or respond quickly to feeding cues. Many mothers find themselves lifting the cover repeatedly to check on their baby.

Traditional covers can trap heat and create a hot enclosed space around the baby. This can lead to discomfort, overheating, or babies pulling off the breast more frequently during feeding. The draped fabric may also allow outside movement and stimulation to catch the baby's attention, which can make it harder for babies to focus while nursing.

Snugghug takes a different approach. By wearing the cover on the arms instead of around the neck, mothers can maintain full visibility, maintain eye contact, clearly se feeding cues, and guide their baby naturally during feeding.

Snugghug can also be paired with an optional magnetic blanket attachment to add an extra layer of coverage if desired.

Each Snugghug is made locally in the United States in small batches, supporting women-owned businesses and skill artisans.

Snugghug was created by a mother who wanted a way to breastfeed her baby without losing visibility or connection and is now sharing it with other mothers so that they can experience that same closeness too.
